There was a lot of critical buzz about this band this year and it was well worth it. Parquet Courts have a New York punk vibe. If you squished The Strokes, Sonic Youth and Lou Reed together you would get The Parquet Courts. Their new album Light Up Gold is (in my opinion) the best of the year. Put them on and rock out!
